• Account data: full name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.
• Location data: your device's GPS coordinates when you request a ride or go online as a driver, used to match you and track trips.
• Trip data: pickup and destination points, trip type, distance, driver/passenger ratings, and chat messages exchanged during a trip.
• Driver data: tricycle registration, operating area, station, ID photo, and approval status.
• Device and usage data: app version, device type, and logs of how you use the app.

• To match passengers with nearby available tricycle drivers.
• To display driver and passenger details (name, phone, photo, tricycle registration) during an active trip.
• To generate verified driver ID badges for approved drivers.
• To provide in-app chat between passenger and driver during a trip.
• To handle ratings, reports, and disputes about trips or user behaviour.
• To comply with legal obligations and improve safety on the platform.

We do not sell your personal data. We share trip-relevant details (name, phone, photo, tricycle registration, pickup and destination) between the matched passenger and driver only for the duration of that trip. We may share data with authorities where required by Ghanaian law, or to investigate reports of unsafe behaviour, fraud, or crime.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Trip records, messages, and reports may be retained for up to 7 years to handle disputes and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account data at any time from the Profile screen — this wipes your profile, rides, messages, and driver details from the platform.

• Withdraw consent for location collection by disabling GPS or going offline.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

GetRyde is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact support.
